Daowu Pei, received his Ph D degree in mathematics in 2001 from Sichuan University, China. Between 2001 to 2003, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He worked in the Department of Mathematics, Yancheng Teachers College since January 1980, where he was promoted to associate professor in 1997 and full professor in 2003. Then from Jan. 2004 to Jun. 2005, he worked in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tongji University, China, and served as a PhD supervisor in computer science. Now he is working in the Department of Mathematics, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, China, and serves as a PhD supervisor in mathematics and computer science. He is an author or co-author of over fifty technical papers. His current research interests are in computational intelligence, particularly, rough set theory and applications, non-classical logic and approximation reasoning.
