I am a Full Professor in the Dept. of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at the University of Salerno in Italy. My research area is in formal fuzzy logic and approximate reasoning theory (Pavelka's style) to give mathematical models for the vagueness phenomenon. In particular, I am interested with fuzzy computability. Another different interest is in point-free geometry where the notion of “region” is assumed as a primitive and the notion of “point” is defined by a suitable class of regions. More informations can be find in my personal website available at http://dmi.unisa.it/people/gerla/www/.
